Beach Kids Dentistry

Welcome to our office! We look forward to meeting you and your family in a safe and fun environment to develop a positive life-long attitude towards dental health. Our goal is to make their first visit memorable and exciting.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommend a child's first dental visit occur six months after their first tooth erupts or by the age of one. Early visits can provide a foundation for a lifetime of healthy dental habits for the prevention of oral disease.

At our office, we are dedicated to making your child have a positive experience, and we move at their pace. This means that a first visit may only be more of an introduction to the dental office - and that's ok!  It may take a few visits for children to become more confident and cooperative. Our staff is specifically trained in fostering life-long relationships and we will tailor each visit to their specific needs. Please refrain from using words such as "pain, hurt, shot, pull, drill, or needle" prior to the visit, as this can lead to children having a negative attitude about dental care.

As pediatric dentists, we realize that your child may have already had an experience at a previous office. Please inform us of any prior treatment and your child's cooperation level. This information will help us to understand potential anxiety and work towards a more positive attitude regarding treatment.

We invite you to stay with your child during the initial examination. During future appointments, we suggest you allow our staff to accompany your child through the dental experience. We can usually establish a closer rapport with your child when you are not present. Our purpose is to gain your child's confidence and overcome apprehension. However, if you choose, you are more than welcome to accompany your child to the treatment room. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.
